Multiple Sclerosis is an inflammatory disease of the Central Nervous System which consists of the brain and spinal cord. The condition is sometimes known as "white matter" tissue disease. The white matter of the brain is made up of nerve fibers that transmit communication signals both inside the CNS and between the CNS and the nerves that supply the rest of the body. Multiple Sclerosis can take a long time to ruin your central nervous system, which makes it difficult to diagnose.
